Asso Technologies is a software company specialised in peer-to-peer electricity exchange. We build the matching engine that routes solar surplus between neighbours contractually, before it reaches the grid and loses value.
Alongside the licensed software business, we are developing our own hardware stack for off-grid energy deployment: a complete solar, storage, and mesh node designed to bring the same P2P protocol to communities without grid access.
P2P energy sharing protocol for Local Energy Communities and off-grid villages. Licensed to DSOs, CER operators, NGOs, and installers. Two deployment contexts: European LV grid and off-grid Africa.
Explore Asso Mesh →Founder & Lead Engineer
Angelo Marullo is the founder and lead engineer of Asso Technologies Ltd. His path to Asso Mesh is not a straight line, which is probably why he saw the gap.
He trained in the Italian Air Force as a field engineer in advanced electronic systems, earning military and civilian certifications before leading multi-disciplinary technical teams on live implementation and maintenance projects. In parallel, he completed a degree in Political Science and International Relations and managed export sales for an Italian B2B startup, an early education in how technical products cross borders.
He began writing software independently, progressing from automation scripts to real-time analysis systems that required thinking in architecture rather than in code. That shift in perspective is where Asso Mesh began.
He currently works as a remote engineer for a multinational in technology solutions, software, and robotics for automated pharmaceutical dispensing and distribution, a role chosen deliberately for the flexibility it gives him to build Asso Technologies in parallel.
Asso Technologies was built from a clear conviction: that the right approach to an existing problem (energy matching) can generate economic return, genuine utility for the communities it serves, and a measurable contribution to the renewable transition. That is the standard the company is held to.
